The Barbican 33 comes from the drawing board of the legendary Maurice Griffiths. The long keel incorporates a centreboard, giving her the versatility of a shallow draft for creek-crawling, and deep draft for upwind performance. Tempus Fugit is presented in very good condition and has been maintained to a high standard by her long-term careful owner.

We are her second owners having enjoyed her for fifteen years. She was the show boat in 1990 and starred in a Practical Boat owner article. Sadly a change of circumstances means we have to part.
Fitted out by her makers in 1990 she has plenty of well crafted teak below. Many additions to her inventory has made her our perfect boat. She's fully equipped for a super day sail in the Solent or proper living aboard with fridge, propane cooker, 240v mains lighting, dehumidifier and heating to keep you warm in a cold winter.
She has 6ft head room, sleeps 4 comfortably or 6 using the saloon double berth all on memory foam topped cushions. Last year we had a full canopy made for the cockpit, expanding the living space enormously - so now eating al fresco becomes a year round activity.
Her shallow draught means she can explore creeks and coastlines up close and her long keel and large rudder makes her easy to steer. The engine starts easily and pushes her along at over 7 knots using about 2 litres an hour with little smoke even at top revs. Yearly oil and filter changes together with replacement raw water impeller have given us 15 years of happy cruising.
Like most of her type her centerplate is removed and stored ashore. Its effect on sailing makes little difference but you do get quiet nights as a result.
In the last 7 years she has had her standing rigging replaced and new main and genoa.
She really is everything we wanted in a boat and we hope her next owners will love too.
We have two survey reports 2003 and 2016 which the broker can send on request.
